If you are using a public road from Sapporo to Lake Toya
From Sapporo, go through National Route 230 and pass through Nakayama Pass.
Along the way, there are Jozankei Onsen, a popular hot spring resort in Sapporo, and Nakayama Pass, which sells "ageimo," which is also famous as a soul food in Hokkaido, is full of stops.

If you are heading from Sapporo to Lake Toya by JR
You can take the Super Hokuto Express Express from Sapporo Station to Toya Station.
However, the number of trains operates is one train every 1-2 hours, so you will need to adjust your schedule to match the departure times of JR. Express Super Hokuto

When using a bus from Sapporo to Lake Toya
A Hokkaido Minami bus runs from Sapporo to Lake Toya.
Departing from Sapporo Station, you will arrive at Toyako Onsen in about 2 hours and 50 minutes via Jozankei, Nakayama Pass, Rusutsu Resort, etc. Dominami Bus/Sapporo Toyako Line
Time required: Approximately 2 hours 50 minutes
Fee: 2,830 yen one way, 5,020 yen round trip
If you are using a train from New Chitose (Sapporo) Airport
You will need to transfer at Minami Chitose Station.
After about three minutes of boarding the JR Chitose Line Rapid Airport, you will arrive at Minami Chitose Station. So, after taking the JR Chitose Line Express Super Hokuto for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, you will arrive at Toya Station.
Considering the waiting time inside the station and the time it takes to transfer, the overall travel time is approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes.
The ticket fare and the unreserved seat fee will be 4,430 yen.
